Diamond core drilling or “coring” is the process of drilling perfectly round holes through concrete, masonry, brick, stone, and asphalt structures such as walls, floors and ceilings.
Diamond core drills can be operated in any orientation, vertical, horizontal and even upside down.
Diamond core drilling is the most frequently used demolition method in day to day use. The demands made in this area are numerous, from series drilling with hundreds of holes to single, metre deep holes with precisely defined angular positions, or drill holes in a base structure containing extremely high levels of reinforcement. Electric and hydraulic core drill motors are used to drill holes of diameter 6mm to diameters in excess of 1 metre.
